Getting Started
Q: What is the minimum investment required to start? A: There is no universal minimum. You can start a mutual fund SIP with as little as ₹500 per month. PMS requires ₹50 lakhs and AIFs require ₹1 crore as per SEBI norms. Estate planning and housing finance services have customized fee structures based on complexity.
Q: Do I need to visit your Kolkata office? A: No. We offer fully digital onboarding for clients across India and overseas. Video KYC and e-signatures are accepted for most products.
Q: Are you SEBI-registered investment advisors? A: We are AMFI-registered mutual fund distributors (ARN 346911) and APMI-registered intermediaries (APRN 07766). We receive commissions from product manufacturers. If you require fee-only advice, please inform us and we will structure accordingly.
Q: Can you guarantee returns on mutual funds or PMS? A: No. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks. Past performance does not guarantee future returns. We do not guarantee loan approvals either — final sanction rests with the lending institution.
Q: Do you draft wills directly? A: No. Finova Connect coordinates estate planning through empanelled advocates. We handle the financial inventory, family mapping, and coordination; licensed lawyers handle all legal drafting under the Advocates Act, 1961.
Q: Is my data safe with you? A: Yes. We use SEBI-registered platforms with 256-bit SSL encryption. We do not sell client data and comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Q: How do I file a complaint? A: Email complaints@finovaconnectwebnet.com. Our Grievance Officer will respond within 48 hours. If unresolved, you may escalate to SEBI SCORES, AMFI, IRDAI Bima Bharosa, or RBI Ombudsman.
Q: Can I invest in Indian mutual funds from overseas? A: Yes, subject to FEMA regulations and your residential status (NRI/PIO/OCI). We guide you through NRE/NRO account linking, KYC, and FATCA/CRS compliance.
Q: Are my Indian investments taxed in my country of residence? A: This depends on the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) between India and your resident country. We coordinate with tax professionals but do not provide direct tax advice.
